It is really nice to think of it in a positive way and not as losing something. I think one of the hardest part of the whole process is finding someplace to get rid of the stuff... I throw out the true junk but the actual nice things are a lot of work to give away... I totally understand what you are going through... Can I post a link to your creating space post on my blog... I think it would help my friends and family see things in a different light :) Your post about creating space has really inspired me to continue with my purging. It is really nice to think of it in a positive way and not as losing something.

I worked at a non-profit once. It costs them money to have stuff hauled away, besides not having time to fix things. Knowing this, I still got annoyed when one of them (can't remember which one) wouldn't take a wheelchair I had because it hadn't been cleaned well enough. Well, the thing is, I didn't have time to clean it at the time, but wanted it out. Amusingly enough, I put it in my car and took it to your nemesis CHKD and they took it! Anyway, I enjoy your blog. It's always fun to find local homeschooling bloggers. We live in Virginia Beach. It’s true. I worked at a non-profit once. You'd be surprised at the number of people who really are down on their luck and can't even afford to buy a used couch from Goodwill and would be really really grateful to get much needed items for free.
