The next time I'm in my local Borders I'm going to ask if they're having one. It's funny; I've been to release night parties for certain bands (most memorable one was Metallica's "Black" album), but never for books - and I have spent MUCH more money for books in my life than I've spent on albums! I envision the HP party as being very loud and active until the bookstore opens at midnight - then a huge loud rush to the shelves and lots of chattering while standing in line waiting - and then a massive crowd of nearly-silent people because they'll all be reading, LOL.
