If I can get my teeth fixed before coming out there I'll definitely try my best to swing far enough north on the way out and slide through Tennessee on the way back. (That'll be an easy sell, as my grandfather is still living in TN, lol.) I refuse to finally get to hug you guys in person though with these teeth; I don't even smile anymore and I'd be too mortified to even talk. Mater and Brite, it would be SO cool to see you guys! Tom had a herniated disc a couple of years ago so I can imagine what your dad is dealing with. Here's an idea . . . . what about looking into renting an RV for Dad so that you, mom and Mike can take turns driving while he has room to LAY down if the constant sitting starts hurting his back. Tom's back doc (neuro) and chiropractor both agred that the WORST thing in the world for a bad back is SITTING. . . .puts all the pressure on the spine. Really, this sounds so exciting. Any chance y'all want to see the home of the Blues and trek down to Memphis town to see Beale Street????? Need I remind you of the Royal Tyrell musuem in Drumheller??Fall weather is gorgeous, usually long hot sunny days although the nights can be cool.And if you can't make it north, mayhaps Max and I could hop in the car and come south to meet you for a weekend.(Max starts high school!! next fall and can't take any time off school)E mail me and let me know if you're headed this way.
