I no longer sort socks or undies it's clean and in the basket. I remove my own and require them to do the same, if they want a pair of socks they will find them. It's not odd anymore to watch mismatched pairs on feet. I'm lucky if Rachel chooses to wear something besides flip flops. I fondly remember paying Sarrah a penny for each pair she matched. It’s not worth the quarter I would have to pay now for each pair. Ten feet, seven days in a week, work socks , sports & gym socks you do the math… I’m much happier with…….
First one here gets the good socks….

I believe socks are up there in the top 3 as far as stuff that gets lost. I may have to give this a try when I have more kids who can share a few socks. Thanks.

Isn't it just WEIRD how a simple cotton bag meant for our feet can cause such drama and stress?
It just ain't right, I tell ya. :)

I'm glad you found a way that works for you. Honestly I think a boys & girls set of community sock drawers is genius. If I had a daughter I'd do it!

I had a family community sock drawer and it did NOT work for me! :) Then, one day I separated the socks, my husband and my son together and my daughter and I together and I was amazed at how it lowered the stress level in the house! These are socks for goodness sakes!!! I'm glad to hear you have also de-stressified your sock situation! My goodness!
