Just a thought regarding the yard sale...i've done a couple of garage sales myself (and I haunt them all summer long) and for the one I'm doing this summer it's really simple, everything is $2 or less and what doesn't sell goes to Goodwill at the end of the day...you get rid of the stuff one way or another .You could set the price at $5 or less or whatever you're comfortable with...but believe me, it eliminates all kinds of hassles and people asking 'how much for this?'. The way I look at it, better to make $40 than just give it all to charity (although that's a good thing too, I buy ALL my clothes cept for socks and underwear at Goodwill and I have a designer wardrobe).
